It is comical how terrible our public transport is outside London. We are made to look foolish by other European nations.

Mike Falchikov, EdinburghTotal re-nationalisation is probably unfeasible. Infrastructure (Railtrack) should be publicly-owned.
Christina Upton, BeverleyLet’s have a national co-ordinated service with sensible pricing.
Ray Grey, MachynllethLets stop pretending the emperor has new clothes – this dog’s breakfast of a railway needs sorting out now.
Richard Johnson, SouthportTransport should be provided by the state, as a service for the public at a reasonable price, not for private profit, environmentally sound and safe.
Craig Alexander, AshwellMy train is late 96% of the time in the last 2 years. East Midlands Trains well aware but ignores the issue while taking the full fare – the definition of profit before service.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
