We need trains that connect small communities as well as cities. This means needs must come before profits. Private corporations can’t/won’t do this.
The railways were taken into public ownership because the private sector was in an absolute mess and so the railways are again in an absolute mess.
What’s happened to the rail, as with everything, is a disgrace. Money before people. Bring back British Rail.
I’m very much in favour of the nationalisation of natural monopolies.
As I work for Network Rail I see how it is working on a day-to-day basis and unless we bring it back under British Rail I foresee major problems and major accidents.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
