It’s plainly obvious that this is not saving the people money. Typically we pay for the upkeep while private companies profit.

Carol Brack, AlstonYes please, British Rail. Service not profit.
Trevor Payling, MexboroughWe’re not getting value for money. The rolling stock is ageing and decrepit.
Jason Bale, MaidenheadAs long as the profits made go back into the railways and not wasted.
Nick Monaghan, CastlefordRe-nationalisation is the right and only way to bring the railways back to a real form of public transport, accessible to and affordable by everyone.
Ashley Woosnam, NorthamptonRe-nationalize BR as soon as possible. I’m sick of ever-increasing ticket prices, whilst services get worse, together with the attitude of station staff.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
