Give the railways back, and get freight off the roads.
Nigel Ponsford, LeedsI object to the train operating companies having to pay to rent stock we paid for as taxpayers in the first place.
Robert Astin, LondonI’m very much in favour of the nationalisation of natural monopolies.
Richard Johnson, SouthportTransport should be provided by the state, as a service for the public at a reasonable price, not for private profit, environmentally sound and safe.
Heather Pollard, HornseaIts time to bring back railways into national ownership. Save the tax payers billions of £s and create a joined up and reliable service.
Kris Douglas, Stoke-on-TrentThis needs to happen sooner rather than later. Current Train Operating Companies are draining the government and the passengers.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
