For environmental reasons rail travel needs to be efficient and cheap.
Ray Packham, Bradford-on-AvonPublic transport should not be run for private profit.
Michael Thorne, YorkEast Coast Line made a profit this year. The government received its reward. The people want it to stay that way. Think long-term and for the people.
Tim Perry, LondonSNCF, DB, SNCB, rail in Denmark, the Netherlands etc. All work very well, are bang up-to-date, and are cheaper, with plenty of investment and modernisation. Why not BR?
Robert Macqueen, Leamington SpaDon’t let European governments run our railways. Do it ourselves.
Dave Miles, NottinghamRail, and other essential services, need to be run for public benefit not for private profit.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
