Andrew Hopkins, LeicesterBad service, price rises and no improvements after price rises. Need I say more? Re-nationalise the railways immediately.
Richard Speight, BarnsleyWe need to get the railways back under public ownership, along with the utility companies.
Susan Rees, WhitstableThe fares are a rip-off. It’s a joke. The trains are not very clean for what you pay. Sometimes you have to stand. My son-in-law pays a fortune to travel from Whitstable.
Jonathan Elliott, WhitstableThe public are filling the pockets of rich shareholders and the CEOs of the private companies involved plus paying three times the amount BR got in funding from the public.
Ian Wallace, SheffieldClimate change demands this. Aim to make it free at the point of use, like we nearly did in South Yorkshire a few years ago.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
