Mathew Jackson, YorkLet’s re-nationalise, standardise and make the railways for the fare-paying public not the fat cat franchise management.
Gabrielle Deschamps, LondonI’m outraged that two return flights (which are so bad for the environment) from London to Edinburgh come to a total of £45 as opposed to £282 by rail. The world has gone mad.
Anne Joynes, WatfordWe need ‘not-for-profit’ trains like East Coast.
Paul Nash, LondonBring back British Rail.
Gillian Kelly, AmblesideI used to be able to board a train at Oxenholme and go through to Totnes or Penzance. Now I have to haul my luggage off at Birmingham New St. and change. I hate this.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
