Safety and operation of our rail network should not be in private hands. We need an integrated rail system.
This needs to happen.
I’ve been to other countries on the Continent, Germany for instance, and seen how fine their publicly owned system is in terms of price/quality, it makes me want to cry.
The rail network was stolen from us and it’s time to give it back.
Privatisation of the railways was a con, designed to make money for the already wealthy. If I was a thief I’d have more self-respect than the CEOs of the train operators.
