Emma Anderson, OtterburnI believe that the railways would serve the country better if publicly-owned.
Peter Gillon, Sowerby BridgePrivatisation has been a disaster for the railways. We subsidise it more now than when it was publicly owned.
Karen Nolan, StockportI’m sick of everything run for profit, what about service to the people of this country who pay for everything through their taxes but get nothing except cuts in return?
David Doubleday, Darlington25 separate operating companies. The French think it is a joke. We have the most expensive rail journeys in Europe..
Dot Walker, MaldonThe rail network does not work under privatisation and needs to be taken back into our hands, run for commuters not profiteers.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
