Martyn Tupper, LondonThe rolling stock is ancient, fares are extremely high, service is poor. Where has the money gone, certainly not on improving our train network?
Male Byrne, SouthamptonI fully agree with bring back British Rail. It was the worst thing the government has ever done, like the rest of public utilities.
Margaret Bennett, SheffieldWe, like many other social entrepreneurs, chose to bank with the Co-operative Bank because of its strong ethical objectives. We would move our account if this was lost.
Ian Yarham, CamberleyNationalisation isn’t perfect but better than foreign countries profiting at our cost to subsidise their own systems – the British public is not a cash cow for others.
Joe Loughrell, LondonEnough is enough, I don’t care about fancy stations with shops and restaurants. I just want to go to work and get home with the minimum fuss.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
