The recent East Coast experience has shown that the state could successfully take over all lines again
I am a very proud Conservative supporter, and, like Mrs. Thatcher, believe the railways are the one thing that should never have been privatised. Bring back British Rail.
I left my native Britain because of Thatcher’s lunatic policies. Destroying the railway system was just one of these. Here you can travel 60 miles for £9.50 return.
I can’t believe that only the Green Party supported re-nationalisation. Why won’t Labour?
A publicly owned railway is cheaper to run for the taxpayers than the private franchises. Incorporating the freight companies into Network Rail will benefit even more.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys
but as it doesn't affect them, they don't care
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
