We need a rail network that serves the people and isn’t there for private profit.
Tom Halpin, AberystwythThis alleged privatisation has been costing British tax-payers far too much and provided nothing for us. Seize the so-called rail companies’ assets and re-nationalise.
Maureen Raud, TeignmouthThe time has come to tell the Government that we’ve had enough of all this privatisation that doesn’t work for anyone except the fat cats.
Caroline Abbott, MiddlesbroughEverything that is sold off never benefits the ordinary people of UK, just the shareholders. Look at the utility industries.
Caroline Bond, LeedsI use the East Coast mainline to visit my mother in London. I’m delighted with the service. Trains, like hospitals, schools, water, gas and electricity should belong to the people.
Rebecca Handley, LondonI’m sick of private profit before passengers or employees.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
