Colin Fribbens, ExeterBritish Rail should be owned by the people and make enough profit to keep it first class for all users, not shareholders.
John De Sousa, LondonThe franchise system is not working. And it cannot be right that underperforming operators, such as the one I have to use (Southeastern), continue to profit from this.
Janette Holt, GuisboroughWhat profit is made should go into government exchequers not privately run companies.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
