Gordon Craig, EdinburghHaving now worked under a Government-run railway, although not perfect, let’s not go back unless GNER can return.
David Macklin, ColchesterThe Conservative government of John Major in 1992 did not have a mandate to privatise the railway. Tories are undemocratic.
Terence Phelps, WorcesterRe-nationalise British rail
David Black, HarrogateWe need to bring the railways back into public ownership rather than giving money to private (and mostly foreign) companies.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
