Come back British Rail – all is forgiven.
Julie Wassmer, KentI’m sick of paying for Network Rail contracting out and giving themselves massive pay-outs. They are environmental vandals to boot. Bring back a proper nationalised railway.
Cliff Blackwell, IlfordAs a serving freight train driver, I see every day the enormous amount of problems with the running of the system. We need one organisation to run it – British Rail.
Stephen Cullen, PrescotRailways not for private profit.
Andy Padgham, LondonBR wasn’t great but at least their heart was in the right place.
Richard Speight, BarnsleyWe need to get the railways back under public ownership, along with the utility companies.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
