Public transport for public good rather than private greed.
Maya Ring, SomptingThe rail network is a mess. Bring it back to the public. Privatisation has not worked.
Adam Moon, BristolGranted I know Network Rail are trying to modernise the railway but they’re using taxpayers’ money anyway so it should be kept public.
Anne Cowmeadow, Milton KeynesWhy can this government not learn the lesson of the East Coast? Not only has the public sector run this successfully but it has made a profit for the public purse.
Jenny Shevlin, LeedsThe East Coast line makes a net profit run by the public sector. Perhaps the rest can too.
Aled Owen, CreweToo many rail workers are commuting silly distances. Employ locally!

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
