Chris Lewis, LondonI totally agree. We need to end the privatisation madness and bring back an affordable, reliable and accountable service to the British public.
Thomas Ashton, NottinghamBring it back. The people’s railway.
Tom Carr, Newcastle-upon-TyneThe railways are too much an important part of our infrastructure to trust to private companies – viz the GNER and National Express debacle on the East Coast mainline.
Paul Garrod, PortsmouthIt never made sense having dozens of different rail companies for a system where all the rails are joined together.
John Seymour, Tadcaster. The rail network needs to be unified, and as the East Coast main line proves, running under public ownership after two private company failures, a profit can be made.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
