Bring back British Rail.
Michael Keirl, SunderlandThis is an essential and common sense idea.
Sheila Lovelady, EasthamWorst things to happen, first that wretch Beeching then privatisation. A good thing is to restore it to what it was.
Richard Clark, LiverpoolThis cannot go on. It won’t be worth going to work soon!
William Edmonds, HuddersfieldPrivatisation was a disaster. All it brought was private profit with the public paying more. Electricity should be re-nationalised too.
Tim Shufflebotham, CanterburyOne rail network always worked better. Plus the industry could go 24hr to meet today’s demands of work/social gatherings, providing more jobs. Also trains every 20mins.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
