Yes. Bring back British Rail.
Kenneth Peachey, NottinghamAfter all the things sold off by previous governments, it is time to bring these back into public ownership. I am tired of seeing all the profits going to overseas people.
Martin Griffin, EdinburghThe franchises bloat the cost of management of the railways. The shareholders – often foreign national railways – are not investing profits in the UK rail companies.
Gala Middleton, NewarkEast Coast Trains proved that public ownership works. How ridiculous to then sell it.
Marina Matosic, BoltonMy commute from Bolton to Manchester is beyond belief. It is far worse than any journey on the London Underground.
Catherine Matthews, EnfieldPublic ownership in public interest. Choose service over parasitic private sector profits.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
