I’m almost 70 and have travelled extensively on trains all of my life. The service was better when nationalised. Now it’s bad service, no seats and too expensive for me.

Great to see Liverpool City Region Combined Authority agree plans to take Merseyrail back into public ownership when the Serco/Transport UK contract ends in 2028 ππ But there's still a big loophole in the #RailwaysBill meaning a future Mayor could easily re-privatise it π€¦ββοΈ
