Alan Taylor, CoalvilleAn infrastructure that serves the whole country should never be in the hands of private companies. East Coast Rail has proved this.
Ashley Smith, BathI want to see the railway nationalised because the private companies don’t care about quality or service. They are only profit driven not customer driven
Bernard Harrison, LondonI witnessed the birth of British Railways in 1948 and long to see it return to serve Britain.
Franklin Percival, ShrewsburyWhat is stolen from the people will be reclaimed by the people.
Jonathan Dimsdale, HarrogateObviously, you have all forgotten that British Rail was never on time, equally expensive and passengers were treated as an unnecessary nuisance.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
