For the good of the planet, for the good for us. Transport is a necessity, and not for private profit.
Mark Harmelen, ManchesterSo the Government is giving its mates the East Coast line, rather than have it return, as now, a nice profit for the UK as a whole. Sick.
Toby Leach, AbbotskerswellI have lived in Switzerland where the rail system is cheap, comprehensive and excellent. Our current rail system is emphatically not fit for purpose.
Eirug Griffiths, NeathSince BR was privatised by the government it is now run by different companies. These companies hike up the fares every year and provide a poor service for high prices.
Les Croucher, NorthamptonRe-nationalise the rail industry.
Patrick Strode, PlymouthRail fares have become truly obscene. Pure greed. Motorways are coagulated. I can’t afford travel by train to even relatively close-by locations despite working full-time.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
