Simon Boot, HarrogateRail privatisation caused deaths in the 90’s and ever-increasing fares since. Profits should only be for re-investment and not to shareholders.
Nicholas Dancer, ManchesterOnce the UK is free from the EU and its legislation (including competition, services and state monopoly directives) this should be one of the first things we do.
Lynne Coppendale, DoncasterWe have the highest fares I can think of anywhere. As a result I pretty much never use trains. I love train journeys and would use them but cannot afford them.
Matt Haskins, LondonA state-owned rail network now.
Duncan McCallum, FalkirkLet’s use the profits for a better service rather than lining the pockets of a few.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
