Give us back our railways.
Philip Kingston, WokingBring back British Rail. Privatisation isn’t working.
Steven Baker, OxfordshireIt’s a terrible service: short form trains, technical problems every day, standing room only, new timetables. Appalling.
Luke Heanue, LondonNo to the privatisation of public profits. No to the subsidy of private companies. No to increased fares. No to inefficient private sector maintenance contracts.
Marion Fitzpatrick, LondonWhen it comes to national infrastructure and essential services, public ownership ensures democratic control.
Chris Wilkinson, HorburyAs a train driver, I believe we should go not back to the old BR but a new BR investing profits back into our railways.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
