East Coast have run the London-Newcastle-Edinburgh-Aberdeen line very effectively since it was handed back after the second of two failures by private companies.
Our rail service is very unreliable, expensive and non-too-clean. I would like it to be run for the users, not shareholder profits.
Privatisation has failed. Poor service poor value – need I say more! Also as an example East Coast mainline was fantastic last time it was put back under state control.
I lived in SE London for a long and happy time and used BR quite a lot on the way into town. Never was I late or felt unsafe. Privatising is a huge mistake. British Rail forever.
BR fell apart when greedy politicians started meddling. It should be run with no political agenda providing a good service at a fair price and provide jobs for the UK.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
