Mick Piggott, Hebden BridgeThis, to me, is the crucial policy area, a lynch-pin. The only major party calling for re-nationalisation is the Greens. I will vote for them in the next election.
Christopher Smith, CoventryHS2 plus high ticket costs prohibit train travel by a large, poorer section of our society and therefore inhibits jobs and prosperity.
Alan Giles, EssexJohn Major’s greatest disaster.
Damon Reid, ManchesterIt’s about time we faced facts and realised that there will never be proper investment in rail under private ownership.
Curtis Dance, GooleA return ticket to Hull is now £12 off-peak; it’s really terrible. Goole has been cut off from Hull and Doncaster by rail fares.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
