Sally Millar, EdinburghBritish taxpayers and rail customers pay for rail services – but don’t get the service they need – and private companies and shareholders take the profits. It’s mad.
Delwyn Davies, AbertilleryTransport is a public asset, and should be owned by the public. The banks next.
James Greenhalgh, HuddersfieldGood luck to the campaign.
Stephen Atkins, EdinburghThe private rail companies are getting more subsidy than BR ever received. They get compensated when things go wrong. They cannot lose. Time to renationalise.
John Stephens, BedfordThe dis-aggregated British Rail does not work for passengers; it works for shareholders.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
