Awful service which is often late, combined with insufficient capacity due to the lack of carriages put on by the operator.

Sasha Farooqi, LondonPlease bring back British Rail – we need it now more than ever and upgrade it to faster rail like the Toronto Transit Trains built by Bombardier. – https://www.metrolinx.co
Rachael Dibb, WaterloovilleI hate South West Trains.
Frankie Hewett, CanterburyPrivatisation has led to the awful destruction of our national resource of rail side forests and vital wildlife corridors, by the environment vandal Network Rail. Save our trees.
Paul Ratcliffe, SheffieldSince privatisation the railways have gone from bad to worse. They are now run as a profit-maker for investors rather than as a public service.
Richard Gillanders, LondonIf private enterprise can/will not run Railtrack/Network Rail, why should it operate the profit-making parts and hold fare-payers to ransom for an essential service?

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
