I’m tired of paying high fares for bad service with no competition and no alternatives.
Public service should be the watchword and not just making money. East Coast trains should be the re-nationalisation model.
Its all about greed when it should be about the public who pay for it all. It should be put back into public control where someone will be answerable to the masses.
I can’t help comparing the situation in Britain with that of France, which is miles ahead in the provision of rail travel.
A modern unified rail service is essential for now and the future, both environmentally and socially.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
