Steven Mair, HarpendenI long for a simplified, unified rail network and that is not achievable with the involvement of selfish private enterprises.
Amy Smith, DartfordGreedy, inefficient and monopolistic. That’s the reality of UK rail companies. Enough is enough. We want regulation and a state investment in our transport.
Matt Murphy, BristolEverything that was privatised by the Tory slugs in the 80s and 90s should have been re-nationalised soon after.
Mark Edward, LeicesterOur trains could be a force for green, accessible, fairly-priced travel, rather than solely an extortionate money-making operation for uncaring corporations.
Craig Morris, NorthamptonThe shambles of railways in this country is a disgrace. We deserve a railway network we can be proud of and the French model shows that national is the way to go.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
