To say I am heartbroken that my former employer was really bad is an understatement. BRITISH Rail was the greatest nationalised railway in the world.

To say I am heartbroken that my former employer was really bad is an understatement. BRITISH Rail was the greatest nationalised railway in the world.
Peter Niblett, TotnesStop the rip-off of fares
Theo Williams, RydeThe state of the current national network is a disgrace. Nationalisation of the railway system would lead to a better regulated system with lower costs for the commuter.
Keith Kennils, Newcastle-upon-TyneEast Coast is making a profit under state ownership. Keep it that way. Stop the rip-off price rigging of train tickets.
Lizzie Cuthbertson, LondonEast Coast is the best train line for service and value for the customer. It’s time to put passengers first and not profits for shareholders.
O J Donnelly, AldershotExpand our railways to where people need to go and not just where it is profitable. Get people off the roads and save the environment. Bring back and expand motor-rail too.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
