Now the East Coast line is in public ownership, it is more efficient and makes a profit.

I just tried to book a day return journey to take my son to London for the day (leaving after 9.30am) in 3 weeks time and the cheapest option was £60. This is shocking.

British Rail was far better than any other rail company. I started work for them. Regional Railways again was a good company and then things started getting worse.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
