J Miller, BerkhamstedWhy can’t we all have a service as good as the nationally-owned East Coast line?
Gavin Jones, AddlestoneWhy do I pay more for a shorter journey? Ticket from Weybridge to Kew Bridge is cheaper than the shorter journey from Addlestone. I hate the railway companies.
David Crabtree, EynshamThe railway should be run by the people for the benefit of the people. The only successful rail companies are state-owned. Bring them all back and stop this madness.
Ray Durie, LiverpoolThe public should not pay fares until trains are from this century and they have adequate space for the relevant number of passengers at the right time of day.
Andre Bernal, LondonThings are better run in public ownership, transparently and with no profiteering from private companies. Why did we get rid of British Rail?

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
