Peter J Walker, BillinghamThe success of the Direct Operation of East Coast shows that taking all rail services back into public control would most likely be more successful than re-franchising.
Neil Redfern, HeswallBring back BR. Reverse the Beeching cuts.
Margaret Evans, SheffieldGood idea. Good luck. Nationalisation next.
Mark Bentley, LeicesterPrivatisation has simply not delivered the benefits that were promised. For me, I never believed it would.
Richard Sutton, HexhamI would rather the public purse profited from a crappy rail service than fat cats and their shareholders.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
