Ross Taylor, HinckleyI completely agree with British Rail and I believe that privatisation has not served the purpose it was meant to.
George Gilroy, King’s LynnPrivate profits have just left us with some of the worst infrastructure in Europe. It’s time they finished.
Robert Macdonald, HalifaxKeep the guard on the train and keep the trains safe. Bring back British Rail.
Philip Cheung, Newcastle-upon-TyneA publicly-owned system could be very efficient and profitable as demonstrated by East Coast. Why sell it off? It belongs to us. Don’t make money out of rail users.
Carole Jones, Wakefieldwe need a joined-up system, not one where everybody blames everybody else. We must be the laughing stock of other countries.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
