Rail transport should belong to the people.
Keith Jackson, Stoke-on-TrentThe private sector continually proves itself unworthy of being entrusted with our railways. Enough is enough. Time to take them back.
Gavin Jones, AddlestoneWhy do I pay more for a shorter journey? Ticket from Weybridge to Kew Bridge is cheaper than the shorter journey from Addlestone. I hate the railway companies.
Martin Rayfield, PrestonI’m fed up with rich bosses. Let the people have the railways back.
David Cottrell, Newcastle-upon-TyneEast Coast shows what can be done but is hampered by not owning the track. Let’s get it all back under public ownership and have a properly co-ordinated system.
Daniel York, LondonYear on year out we get fleeced. Enough is enough.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
