Bring back British Rail.
Wendi Condon-Greening, BorehamwoodWhenever companies are privatised fat cats are always the ones to benefit and the public always end up paying the extra.
Malcolm Paskins, FarehamThe railways should be run for the benefit of passengers, not shareholders. Only re-nationalisation will give priority to passengers.
Karan Capon-Richards, RochesterThe whole train service is overpriced and useless. I’m really glad I don’t need to use the trains every day but others need to get to and from work without all this disruption.
Naomi Brown, SouthamptonGive the railways back to the public. Private ownership doesn’t work. It’s not a new idea and it can be done with next to no cost. What are they playing at?
Andy Cook, East SussexDefinitely Bring back British Rail. Trains and customer service were better back then and tickets were affordable.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
