I got a long service award from BR, been retired for four years, and haven’t seen much improvement in real terms. Safety issues get overlooked, due to cost cutting.
The railway service and infrastructure is too important to the country to be in the hands of the purely profit-driven private sector.
Division of the rail service into smaller providers would always be economically unviable and a waste of resources.
Stop destroying our magnificent railways and heritage just to make a financial killing.
Transport for the people. Allow us to travel safely and cheaply. Bring people back to quality coaches and infrastructure.

but as it doesn't affect them, they don't care
Has the government's decarbonisation policy hit fever point?
Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
