British is best.
Debbie Stephenson, SouthportWe need to remove road traffic and the return to rail is not helped by greedy private ownership. We must have a re-unified rail network. This is not rocket science.
William Paddock, EdinburghIf only British Rail had got the subsidies all these private railway companies receive, what a network we could have had.
David Curley, LondonWe absolutely need a unified, affordable national system/service.
Simon Walsworth, LondonThere’s nothing as important as getting our people to work. Rail travel should be owned and run by the people for the people.
Lowell Johnson, LondonMake rail a public service, not an opportunity for CEOs to make extortionate salaries out of ripping people off. It’s a joke.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
