Andrew Appleyard, OldhamAll public transport networks and systems should be run as not-for-profit, and all should either be re-nationalised or re-regulated whichever it is under.
Crispin Howell-Jones, RomfordThe effect of privatising the railways has been that we pay vastly more than we need for our tickets and vastly more to subsidise the companies as well.
Karen McDonald, ManchesterInstead of subsidising the railway, and enabling a few people to get big bonuses, and costing the taxpayer a fortune, it’s more economical to re-nationalise the railways.
Joe Shaw, ManchesterWe need to take back what is collectively ours and run it for the collective good and profit as a nation, for us and for our visitors, not just for the 1% who profit from us.
Michael Smith, EnfieldUnite the railways and make it better for customers and staff alike.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
