One unified entity for the railways, in public hands, for the people of the UK, saving the taxpayer huge amounts of money. Look at East Coast. Enough said.
I’d so like to see fares come down and more room on trains, as they are the most economical on the environment.
I worked happily for 20 years for British Rail. Staff morale plummeted during privatisation and many good and knowledgeable people left, including myself.
Remove the strata of capitalist greed that impoverishes the rest of us who are not shareholders.
An essential service for the people should be run by the people, for the benefit of all.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
