Paul Tunney, BirminghamService or business, profit or loss, transport/communication is wonderful but at present only the elite can enjoy the benefits.
Kenneth Porter, HitchinThe sell-off of British Rail was a ludicrous idea and the situation should be reversed as soon as possible.
Ashley Ivan, Haywards HeathRarely get a seat so have to bring my own stool or sit with the luggage. Services constantly cancelled or delayed. Ticket prices are astronomical. Bring back BR.
Kate Foster, RotherhamI work on the railway and getting ready for retirement but have always thought it should be British Rail. There’s too much emphasis on profit, not on customer service.
Maggie Kraus, Saltburn-by-the-SeaThe system is at present fragmented, expensive and often badly maintained. The services are ill-co-ordinated and not run for the convenience of the passengers.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
