Its commonsense.
Peter Bowyer, CarlisleAll the European countries with fast, modern, efficient railways (France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland etc.) have unified systems. It’s not rocket science.
Arthur Bond, FromeIt cannot come soon enough. Unfortunately with the Tories what I call ‘idiotology’ prevents common sense from prevailing.
Valerie Coote, SalisburyThe service is so fragmented now, with everyone having their own little budget areas, that it’s no wonder that the investment in the railway itself is minimal.
Riaz Meer, IlkleyA unified not-for-profit railway is the best way to fund and plan long term strategy, and ensure that the training and skills of the workforce are maintained sufficiently.
Ian Latham, DoncasterAll the evidence shows utilities should not be run for profit.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
