It’s a public service and should pay for itself, but huge profits – why?
Andrew Sangster, LockerbieI’ve had enough of travelling on a system that is more geared up for shareholders than passengers.
Keith Veness, BroadstairsIt’s a bit of a no brainer. End the private rip-off of our railways now.
Gareth Ayres, Newcastle-upon-TyneIn view of the poor service and higher prices charged, why would we want to continue with private franchising? It is our railway, paid for and run for us.
Daniel Casey, BristolA united, extensive, sustainable transport system, run by society for society!
Jeremy Johnson, CroydonHopefully, we will all realise that all essential services are best handled by the public sector and not for profit.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
