David LatimerLike most of Britain’s privatised industries, most of the assets of the railway industry are no longer owned by the people, but by the banks.
Robert Beckford, HolsworthyMy nearest mainline station is 46 miles away. Re-open the Exeter to Plymouth route via Okehampton and get a free alternative route to the often disrupted route though Dawlish.
Steven Mitchell, ChesterIt’s time to end this ridiculous gravy train funded by the taxpayer.
Kerry Hindmarch, SheffieldBring back British Rail. People and service over profit.
Jonathan Alder, WenhastonAlthough it is probably bottom of this government’s agenda, for thousands of people the goal of having a railway system run for people as a service is fundamental.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
