Hannah Rogers, MayfieldTrain tickets are unaffordable and driving is cheaper.
Philip Gibbard, CambridgeThe railways should be a publicly-owned, fully integrated, modern service, not a money-making machine for a few greedy companies subsided by the taxes.
Patricia Shave, LeicesterRail travel in this country is ridiculously expensive and, because of the closure of so many routes during Beeching’s reign, people had no option but to take to the roads.
Angus G Bennison, SnodlandThe service is Dickensian and all about profit, not about the quality of service. We the general public are held to ransom by giving Southern Rail another renewed franchise
Leo Watson, PlymouthI’m fed up with poor service and trains with insufficient carriages, leading to overcrowding.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
