David Marsh, LondonThe reason why the railways were privatised was because they were poorly managed.
Stuart Curran, CooksbridgeInvest taxpayers’ money in the rail network, not in corporate welfare schemes.
Timothy Isaacs, Bishop’s StortfordIt’s time to end this horrible mess, stop lining the pockets of shareholders with ever-rising, exorbitant fares, and bring back mass transport for the masses.
Lerone Rose, PeterboroughIf it’s not broke don’t try and fix it. The government should never have privatised the railways. Bring back the slam door train too.
Dominic Hales, WiganThe standard is embarrassingly low. It is unreliable and over-priced. Prices need to be controlled if we are to encourage a greener mentality. Private profit is unacceptable.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
