Oh for the day when you can just go to the station, buy a ticket and get on a train without re-mortgaging your house. Unify and simplify to lower costs.

Rosemary Scott, ChesterOf course all public services should be owned by the state, i.e. us. This includes railways.
Jacqueline Zylinski, HerefordMajor hated national rail and privatised it to pay profits to investors and companies. It is an expensive failure for taxpayers and users. Re-nationalise it.
Russell Stubbs, ColchesterGreat Eastern commuters have no choice of rail companies, so how can privatisation be of any use to this line? Private business always wants to make profits, not run great railways.
