Thomas Butlin, LoughboroughWe own it.
Steven Owen, CambridgeThe railways should obviously be re-nationalised, and because of the franchise system it would cost nothing to do so. A government doing this would pull in the votes.
David Calvert, SkegnessPrivatisation has been a disaster from the start. It was never the Government’s to sell in the first place. We the taxpayers owned it, not the politicians.
Malcolm Spinks, LoughtonI hate privatisation, apart from anything else, the liveries are awful.
Joe Smith, BrightonPrivatisation has been a train wreck. Get rid of all the greedy, self-serving management of each franchise skimming off millions from above inflation fare rises.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
