Public transport should be run by the state on behalf of the people.
Charlotte Rayment, BrightonI am a train driver for London Underground and I am always made late picking up my train and this affects the Victoria line service. It goes on my record too. I will go part time.
John Wright, SalisburyPrivatisation is not working. Why should our railway be in the hands of foreign state-owned organisations?
Graham Ross, BoltonThis needs to happen to stop these companies bleeding money from the railways.
Nigel Parry, EdinburghThe rail service prices have rocketed up. Edinburgh – London used to be £80 in the 1990s. Better public transport is essential for the economy.
Boyd Fletcher, BasildonToo expensive, not enough infrastructure investment, too much is paid in subsidies to companies who don’t provide a good service. Re-nationalise the railways.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
